For the month of September 2017 the Sun has been acting out sending all kinds of mixed messages on Earth and in other Planets. In September 8, 2017 there was a Level 4 magnetic storm which was the highest solar ejection since 2008.

Are Auroras even safe to watch. Auroras are disturbances from the Sun not a heavenly event. It is a "cloud of charged particles" reaching our Earth hours and days after a massive solar flare ejection.
Critical Thinking
No matter how entertaining Aurora's are, is it safe to watch?
Will it cause damage to our eyes or cause damage to our skin?
Any high amount of radiation from the Sun specially during a geomagnetic storm is unsafe to watch or even experience. If it is not safe for the Earth than it is not safe for human kind.
Just like watching a Solar Eclipse, meteorologist should not be telling people to go and watch aurora's without safety eyewear etc.
Aurora's is what is known as the #Northerlights. However, the actual term one should be focusing is the cause which is a solar storm.

So as the Earth's Sky may look beautiful to watch the Aurora's are only temporary beauty. The Solar Storm Upheaval is also said to be correlated with cardiac, psychiatric, and other physical ailments.
