So what happened this Monday, September 21, 2024 when there was snow on the ground in a place called Kwazulu-natal, South Africa. Where the Summers are hot and humid summers (Oct-Apr) and mild, dry winters (May – Sep).

A place where it is known for its safaris . KwaZulu-Natal is home to the finest game parks in the world including Hluhluwe-Imfolozi, the oldest in Africa. At Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park has the Big Five - lion, rhino (both black and white), elephant, buffalo and leopard – can all be seen in KwaZulu Natal alongside a huge range of other game animals including cheetah, zebra, hippo, crocodile, giraffe and warthog as well as rare and exotic species like the nyala antelope.

People were stuck on a highway for 17 hours and one person died. People were seen on social media pleading for food and cold. “We are stuck and we are hungry since from last night”, one person reported on tik tok. There was a 30 km car backup.
